Skullknocker Ogre makes every opponent discard a random card whenever it deals combat damage — repeatable hand disruption stapled to a 4/3 body for four mana. The effect is real, but random discard is the weakest discard mode, and four mana for a vanilla-sized creature that opponents can simply chump-block is a bad deal in Commander.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Skullknocker Ogre is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees essentially zero competitive play in any of them. In Commander it has the most plausible home — multiplayer means three opponents each losing a random card per combat hit, which adds up — but the card still underperforms because opponents will block or kill it before it connects more than once. In Modern and Pioneer the card is strictly outclassed by cheaper, more reliable discard engines. Legacy and Vintage have so little interest in a four-mana 4/3 that it doesn't register.

At $0.02, Skullknocker Ogre is deep bulk — you'll pay more in shipping than the card is worth. That price reflects demand accurately and is unlikely to move.
