Skophos Reaver enters as a 6/6 trampler whenever you control a Minotaur — that's the whole pitch, and it's a punishing body for two mana in the right shell. Outside of Sethron, Hurloon General and dedicated Minotaur tribal, it's a vanilla 2/2 that belongs nowhere near a deck.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Sethron, Hurloon General
Sethron, Hurloon General triggers Skophos Reaver's ability every time a Minotaur enters under his control, so the Reaver routinely swings as a 6/6 trampler for two mana — one of the most efficient bodies the tribe can produce.

Anje Falkenrath
Anje Falkenrath runs Skophos Reaver as a madness vehicle: the discard outlet lets you pitch it for its madness cost, and any Minotaur shell Anje helms can leverage that 6/6 clause, though the synergy is narrower than in dedicated tribal builds.

Skophos Reaver is a tribal-conditional card, which means its playability lives and dies by context. In Commander, it earns a slot only in Minotaur tribal decks — and even there, only because the creature type clause fires constantly. In Pauper it's legal but irrelevant; a 2/2 for two with an upside that requires tribal density doesn't compete. Legacy and Vintage have no Minotaur shell remotely interested in it. The card is functionally a Commander-only inclusion, and even there only in one archetype.

Price Context
Current price
$0.23 bulk tier
At $0.23, Skophos Reaver is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. It won't climb; Minotaur tribal is a niche Commander archetype and the card has no crossover appeal outside it.
