Skittering Skirge is a 3/2 flying beater for two mana with a steep hidden cost: whenever you cast a creature spell, you sacrifice it. That drawback makes it nearly unplayable in any shell that isn't built to exploit sacrifice triggers or avoid the penalty entirely.

In Commander, Skittering Skirge finds a home only in dedicated aristocrats or sacrifice-loop decks where the forced sacrifice is a feature rather than a bug — outside those shells, a 3/2 flier that kills itself the moment you play another creature is unacceptable at any table. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient threats with no strings attached, so Skittering Skirge sees essentially no competitive play there. Pauper is its most plausible competitive home, where aggressive black fliers at common are scarcer and a mono-black tempo deck could theoretically sequence around the drawback — though it still demands careful construction.

Pricing data for Skittering Skirge isn't currently available, but as a narrow, older common with limited demand it typically sits at bulk — expect to pay well under a dollar, often as little as a few cents in most marketplaces. Unless you're hunting it for a specific deck, it's the kind of card you grab from a bulk bin rather than seek out.
