Skaab Goliath puts a 6/9 trampler on the board for six mana — that's a legitimate body — but exiling two creatures from your graveyard as an additional cost makes it a liability in any deck that wants those cards to stay there. Unless you're actively looking to clear your own graveyard, there are better six-drops.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Skaab Goliath is legal across every major format but sees essentially no competitive play in any of them. In Commander, the graveyard exile cost works against the recursion and reanimator strategies that blue typically supports, making it a poor fit for the decks most likely to want a big blue beater. In Pauper it's technically legal but too expensive and too conditional to compete with the format's efficient threats. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a six-mana vanilla-adjacent creature. The only realistic home is a casual Commander build that wants to dump creatures into the graveyard and then needs a reason to clear them out — a narrow niche that better cards already fill.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Skaab Goliath is deep bulk — you'll find it in a dollar box or a bulk lot long before you pay even that much. The price won't move; there's no competitive demand pulling it up and no casual breakout waiting to happen.
