Silverglade Pathfinder turns a Forest in hand into a tapped land on the battlefield — repeatable, but gated behind a 2/2 body that has to survive long enough to tap. The discard cost makes it strictly worse than landfall payoffs that don't require you to pitch resources, so it earns a slot only in decks that actively want cards in the graveyard or hand-size reduction.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Silverglade Pathfinder is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but competitive Legacy and Vintage have zero interest in a 2/2 that slowly trickles Forests onto the battlefield. Commander is its only realistic home, and even there the competition is steep — Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Wayward Swordtooth do the same job for free without the discard. Silverglade Pathfinder makes sense specifically in Titania, Protector of Argoth or similar graveyard-land strategies where pitching a Forest is a feature, not a cost.

Price Context
Current price
$0.22 bulk tier
At $0.22, Silverglade Pathfinder is deep bulk — you're not paying for power, you're paying for a niche enabler. Demand is narrow enough that the price is stable at the floor; don't expect movement in either direction.
