Silence the Believers card art
Silence the Believers exiles the target and every Aura attached to it — no graveyard triggers, no Umbra protection, no recursion hooks. Four mana at instant speed is the real cost, and strive makes it scale into late-game mana sinks without losing efficiency per target.

Commander is where Silence the Believers earns its slot: exile matters more in a multiplayer environment full of recursion, Aura Voltron threats, and indestructible commanders, and the strive clause lets you answer two problems at once when you've got the mana. In Legacy and Vintage the four-mana baseline is too slow against the formats' threat density, and cheaper exile removal crowds it out entirely. Pioneer is the most plausible competitive home — mono-black control shells occasionally want unconditional exile at instant speed — but it rarely makes the cut over cheaper options. Stick to Commander.

Price Context

Current price

$0.17 bulk tier

At $0.17, Silence the Believers is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar bin or grabbing a playset for less than a pack of sleeves. Bulk rare status means the price has essentially no floor left to fall, so there's no timing consideration: just buy it if you need it.
