Sigarda, Heron's Grace card art
Sigarda, Heron's Grace lands on the board and immediately grants your entire team hexproof — a static effect that shuts down targeted removal the moment she resolves. The cost is a five-mana legendary that dies to board wipes like everyone else, but in any Human-tribal shell, especially alongside Kyler, Sigardian Emissary, she's a staple worth the slot.

01
Kyler, Sigardian Emissary

Kyler, Sigardian Emissary

62.2% of decks · synergy 0.59

Kyler, Sigardian Emissary turns every Human into a counter-stacking threat, so blanket hexproof from Sigarda, Heron's Grace is the difference between a board that wins and a board that gets picked apart before it can attack.

02
Katilda, Dawnhart Prime

Katilda, Dawnhart Prime

34.9% of decks · synergy 0.31

Katilda, Dawnhart Prime's mana engine and token plan both live and die on keeping Humans alive long enough to activate — Sigarda, Heron's Grace protects that investment from spot removal.

03
Sigarda, Font of Blessings

Sigarda, Font of Blessings

24.8% of decks · synergy 0.21

Sigarda, Font of Blessings already wants a dense Angel and Human package, and slotting in Sigarda, Heron's Grace adds redundant protection while doubling as tribal synergy with both creature types on board.

Commander is Sigarda, Heron's Grace's best home — hexproof for your whole board is dramatically stronger in a four-player game where opponents are stacking removal, and the token-generating activated ability gives her late-game relevance beyond the static text. In Modern and Legacy she's legal but rarely sees competitive play; five mana for a creature-based protection effect is too slow against the efficient threats and countermagic those formats deploy. Pioneer offers the same verdict: the effect is real, the cost is prohibitive, and dedicated tribal builds are sparse enough that she rarely finds a slot. Oathbreaker can use her as a signature spell workaround in Human-heavy builds, but she's more naturally a 99 card than a commander-zone piece across any constructed format.

Price Context

Current price

$0.45 bulk tier

At $0.45, Sigarda, Heron's Grace is deep bulk — a genuine bargain for an effect that would cost several dollars if stapled to a more popular frame. The price is stable; she sees enough Commander demand to keep her from dropping further but not enough competitive play to push her up.
