Shyft is a shapeshifter with every creature type simultaneously, which means it counts as the right tribe for any lord, synergy piece, or payoff on the board the moment it enters. The cost of that universal type-coverage is that Shyft brings no stats or abilities of its own — it's a blank body that borrows relevance entirely from what else is in play.

In Commander, Shyft earns a slot in any tribal deck that wants redundancy across multiple synergy types — especially five-color or morph-adjacent builds where a single body triggering every lord simultaneously has real value. Legacy and Vintage both technically allow Shyft, but competitive lists have no use for a vanilla creature whose only virtue is tribal flexibility. Pauper is the most interesting non-Commander home: at common, Shyft can quietly slot into tribal synergy shells where even a 1/1 that qualifies as every type is a free enabler.

Pricing data for Shyft isn't currently available, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live quote before buying. Given that it's a narrow tribal enabler with no competitive demand outside niche Commander builds, expect a low floor — likely bulk or near-bulk.
