Shipwreck Sifters is a self-replacing looter that gets bigger every time you discard — the floor is a cantrip, the ceiling is a growing threat that rewards any discard-matters shell. Two mana for that baseline is fair, and in the right deck it overperforms.

Commander is the clear home for Shipwreck Sifters — 100-card decks built around Anje Falkenrath, discard synergies, or madness payoffs get real mileage out of a card that cantrips, grows, and rewards repeated discards over a long game. In Pauper, it slots into blue-black discard and madness shells where every looting activation is doing double duty. Modern and Pioneer have more efficient two-drop options, so Shipwreck Sifters shows up only in dedicated discard brews rather than as a staple. Legacy and Vintage are simply too fast for a creature that needs multiple turns of setup to matter.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Shipwreck Sifters is deep bulk — you can pick up a playset for less than a dollar without thinking twice. It's unlikely to appreciate unless a breakout discard deck pushes demand, but at this price floor there's no downside to stocking copies.
