Shatter the Oath

In Commander, Shatter the Oath does the work of two removal spells at once, which matters when you have 99 cards and three opponents producing threats. The instant speed is the differentiator — most artifact and enchantment removal in white is sorcery-speed, so being able to pop a Smothering Tithe or blow up a Grafted Exoskeleton at end of turn before your combat is a real upgrade. In smaller 1v1 formats like Modern or Pioneer, three mana for a conditional two-for-one is too slow when your opponent won't always have both target types on board simultaneously. Pauper is where single-target answers at common are most scrutinized for efficiency, and Shatter the Oath passes that bar cleanly given how few instants hit both artifact and enchantment.
