Commander is where Self-Reflection actually lives; the triggered condition (commander combat damage) is mechanically inert in every other format, which makes it nearly unplayable outside EDH. In Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, and Vintage the card does nothing — you have no commander, so the trigger never fires. Standard and Oathbreaker are technically legal, and Oathbreaker at least has a signature spell axis that could use the copy effect, but the power ceiling there is modest compared to Commander. Run it in EDH with a combat-damage commander or don't run it at all.
