Commander is where Seedtime earns its keep — four-player pods almost always include at least one blue deck, and counterspells aimed at your green ramp or haymakers are common enough that Seedtime is a credible threat rather than a dead card. In Legacy, the card is technically legal but competes against a format where Time Walk effects exist on far more reliable terms, and green decks rarely have the luxury of holding up a conditional instant waiting for blue interaction. Vintage is the same story: the raw power ceiling is there if the condition fires, but the format's speed makes telegraphing a green extra-turn spell awkward. Seedtime is a Commander card first, a curiosity elsewhere.
