Scrapwork Cohort enters as two 2/2 Zombie tokens and replaces itself in the graveyard — three bodies and a draw for five mana. The ceiling is a Nim Deathmantle loop or any aristocrats engine that wants fodder in the bin from turn one, since Cohort's cycling cost makes it free to pitch early.

Scrapwork Cohort is a Commander card through and through — the token production and graveyard self-placement are both built for 100-card engines that need sacrificial fodder across a long game. In Pauper it's technically legal and the cycling is real, but five mana for this effect gets outclassed by cheaper commons doing the same job. Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy have enough redundancy that Scrapwork Cohort rarely makes the cut outside niche Zombie tribal lists. Play it in Commander and nowhere else.
