Savai Crystal is a three-mana rock that taps for one of three colors and cycles itself later for two mana — serviceable fixing that replaces itself when it's no longer needed. It's fine in budget or tri-color decks that need filler, but anything with access to Arcane Signet or two-mana rocks has no reason to run it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| oathbreaker | legal |
Savai Crystal is a Commander card through and through — the cycling clause matters most in a 100-card singleton format where the late-game dead draw is a real cost. In competitive Commander it doesn't make the cut at three mana, but in casual Mardu, Jeskai, or any Abzan shell on a budget it fills a role. Outside Commander, the card simply doesn't compete: Legacy, Vintage, Modern, and Pioneer all have mana bases so efficient that a three-mana do-little rock is never the answer. Oathbreaker is the one other context where it's passable, again strictly on budget grounds.

$0.24 bulk tier
At $0.24, Savai Crystal is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. It won't lose value because it has almost none to lose, so there's no financial reason to hesitate picking one up for a budget build.
