Sarkhan's Triumph card art
Sarkhan's Triumph tutors any Dragon directly to your hand for three mana — narrow by design, but in a Dragon deck that restriction is irrelevant. If you're running Lathliss, Dragon Queen, this is a guaranteed way to find the exact Dragon that triggers her engine on curve.

01
Lathliss, Dragon Queen

Lathliss, Dragon Queen

51.0% of decks · synergy 0.49

Lathliss, Dragon Queen's triggered ability fires on every nontoken Dragon you cast, so Sarkhan's Triumph lets you fetch whichever Dragon maximizes the next trigger — whether that's a cheap body to chain into tokens or a finisher to close the game.

02
Rivaz of the Claw

Rivaz of the Claw

33.8% of decks · synergy 0.33

Rivaz of the Claw needs a steady supply of Dragons to get full value from his reanimation ability, and Sarkhan's Triumph guarantees the right Dragon hits your hand in time to cast and recur it.

03
Ganax, Astral HunterAcolyte of Bahamut

Ganax, Astral Hunter // Acolyte of Bahamut

33.3% of decks · synergy 0.32

Ganax, Astral Hunter // Acolyte of Bahamut generates Treasure on every Dragon ETB, so Sarkhan's Triumph fetching a high-impact Dragon at the right moment converts directly into mana advantage the same turn it resolves.

04
Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm

Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm

26.7% of decks · synergy 0.24

Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm copies every nontoken Dragon that enters, which means Sarkhan's Triumph tutoring a Dragon with a powerful ETB effectively doubles that trigger — the tutor's three-mana cost pays for itself immediately.

05
Atarka, World Render

Atarka, World Render

22.9% of decks · synergy 0.22

Atarka, World Render's combat power scales with the number and quality of Dragons attacking alongside her, and Sarkhan's Triumph fills gaps in hand to make sure you never run short of threats to send into a double-strike swing.

Sarkhan's Triumph is a Commander card through and through — Dragon tribal is nearly exclusive to 100-card singleton, where the tutoring restriction is a feature rather than a bug. In Modern and Pioneer it's legal but functionally irrelevant; Dragon payoffs there are either faster or don't need a three-mana sorcery-speed tutor to function. Legacy and Vintage have access to strictly more powerful tutors with no type restriction, so Sarkhan's Triumph doesn't see a second of competitive consideration in those formats. Commander is where it earns every slot, slotting cleanly into any Dragon-centric build that wants redundancy at the three-mana tutor slot.

$2.81 cheap tier

At $2.81, Sarkhan's Triumph sits in comfortable budget territory for what it does — a dedicated Dragon tutor at this price is a straightforward include in any Dragon commander deck.
