Saiba Trespassers lands as a 4/3 with ward 2 for four mana — solid stats with meaningful protection — but its value is really in the connive trigger that lets you loot and potentially grow it when it attacks. It's a card that rewards you for building around graveyard or discard synergies; without those, it's just an above-rate beater.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Saiba Trespassers fits cleanly into Dimir or Esper decks that want repeated loot effects — think reanimator shells or +1/+1 counter strategies where connive does double duty. In Pauper it's a legitimate threat: ward 2 is punishing at that resource level, and a growing body that replaces itself in the graveyard is hard to ignore. Modern and Pioneer have enough efficient four-drops to push it out of most competitive lists, but it's a reasonable roleplayer in budget brews that want discard synergy. Legacy and Vintage simply have faster, more broken things to do on turn four.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Saiba Trespassers is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card with genuine playability in casual and Pauper contexts. Bulk rares and uncommons with ward rarely climb, so expect the price to stay flat unless a Commander precon or format shift pushes connive into the spotlight.
