Saheeli, Filigree Master draws you a card every time you cast an artifact or create a token, and her minus turns any artifact into a temporary copy of another — that's a lot of text on a four-mana planeswalker. Saheeli, the Gifted does the cost-reduction work; this version does the card-advantage work, and artifact decks that can run both usually should.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Saheeli, the Gifted
Saheeli, the Gifted cuts your artifact costs; Saheeli, Filigree Master refills your hand while you're casting them, and the two together form a self-sustaining engine that turns a board of servos and thopters into a card-draw machine.

Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy
Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy cares about modifying and sacrificing artifacts, and Saheeli, Filigree Master's token creation and loot-adjacent draw keep the artifact supply flowing so Gimbal's triggers never run dry.
Optimus Prime, Hero
Optimus Prime, Hero converts into a massive artifact creature and wants a board full of artifacts to back him up — Saheeli, Filigree Master's passive draw triggers off every token and artifact cast, keeping the hand stocked through the late game.

Cayth, Famed Mechanist
Cayth, Famed Mechanist leans into artifact creature synergies, and Saheeli, Filigree Master's copy ability lets Cayth decks temporarily double up a high-impact artifact creature on the turn it matters most.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the format Saheeli, Filigree Master was built for — artifact token strategies and artifact-casting engines are everywhere in the format, and a planeswalker that draws cards passively off both is exactly what those decks want at four mana. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer she's technically legal but never sees play; the powered-down card draw and situational copy ability don't compete with what those formats demand at that mana cost. Oathbreaker is the only other format worth mentioning, where she can slot in as a signature spell for artifact-themed walkers, though she's far more interesting as the commander piece.

Price Context
Current price
$0.85 bulk tier
At $0.85, Saheeli, Filigree Master sits firmly in bulk rare territory, and given her narrow appeal outside of dedicated artifact Commander builds, that price is accurate. Pick her up freely — there's no meaningful upside pressure from non-Commander demand to change the calculus.
