Sacred Prey is a one-mana 1/1 that makes itself a forced target for attackers — opponents must attack it if able when they attack you, which is a paper-thin deterrent on a body too small to matter. Run it only in dedicated sacrifice or forced-combat builds where feeding it to an altar is the point, not the consolation prize.

Sacred Prey is essentially a Commander and Pauper card — everywhere else it's either illegal or irrelevant. In Commander, it fits a narrow lane: sacrifice synergy decks that want cheap bodies entering and leaving the battlefield, particularly white-based aristocrats shells. In Pauper, the forced-attack clause has marginal defensive use in aggressive metas, but a 1/1 for one with no enters-the-battlefield effect rarely earns a slot over options with more immediate impact. Legacy and Vintage are legal but purely theoretical — Sacred Prey will never see a turn of competitive play in either.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Sacred Prey is deep bulk — pick it out of a commons box, not a store page. Demand is narrow enough that the price has nowhere to go; it's a one-of in fringe Commander lists at best.
