Rysorian Badger exiles cards from an opponent's graveyard when it deals combat damage, gaining you life equal to the number exiled — useful graveyard hate stapled to a two-mana creature. The payoff is too conditional and too small to earn a slot in most lists.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Rysorian Badger is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no play in any of them. In Commander, graveyard hate on a fragile two-power creature is too unreliable — you need it to connect repeatedly before it does meaningful work, and opponents can simply block or remove it. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient graveyard disruption that doesn't require turning sideways. Oathbreaker shares Commander's problem: a 2/2 that needs to deal combat damage is not the answer to a reanimator strategy.

Price Context
Current price
$0.76 bulk tier
At $0.76, Rysorian Badger sits at the high end of bulk — the price of scarcity, not demand. Don't expect that to hold; better graveyard hate exists at every price point, and there's no competitive pressure keeping this above a quarter.
