Ruthless Deathfang turns every Dragon you sacrifice into a Edict effect — each opponent loses a creature whenever you feed one to your cause. The cost is real at six mana, but in a deck that already wants to sacrifice Dragons, that symmetry is pure upside.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Ruthless Deathfang is a Commander card through and through — six mana is acceptable in a format with 40 life, ramp is abundant, and Dragon tribal shells exist specifically to abuse its trigger. In Modern and Pioneer it is unplayable on rate; six mana for a conditional edict engine competes with threats that end the game outright. Legacy and Vintage have no interest either, where the power ceiling is too high for a slow symmetrical enchantment creature. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander 60-card variant where it could theoretically slot into a Dragon-heavy list, but the same speed problem applies at smaller life totals.

$0.29 bulk tier
At $0.29, Ruthless Deathfang sits firmly in bulk territory — buy a playset for under a dollar and don't think twice about it. Bulk Dragon tribal pieces rarely spike unless a new commander pushes the archetype into the spotlight, so expect it to stay in this range.
