Rukh Egg is a 0/3 for four mana that does nothing until it dies — and when it does, you get a 4/4 flying token, assuming it died during your turn or on the battlefield during an upkeep trigger. The payoff is real, but the ask is steep: four mana, zero immediate pressure, and a death trigger that opponents can strand by simply ignoring it.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Rukh Egg is a niche include in dedicated egg or sacrifice synergy decks — Atla Palani, Nest Tender is the obvious home — but it's too slow and too conditional to earn a slot in generalist builds. In Legacy and Vintage it's unplayable; four mana for a 0/3 doesn't clear the bar when those formats are ending games on turn one or two. Pauper is the most interesting fringe case: the card is legal, and sacrifice synergies exist at common, but there are simply better sacrifice fodder options available at the same cost. Rukh Egg is a Commander card, full stop, and even there only in the right shell.

Price Context
Current price
$0.46 bulk tier
At $0.46, Rukh Egg is deep bulk — the price reflects its narrow playability rather than any collector demand. It won't appreciate unless Atla Palani or a future egg-matters commander spikes interest, and even then the ceiling is low.
