Rubblehulk scales with every land you control, turning a standard Gruul land count into a 15/15 or larger by the mid-game — and blitching it in for free gives you a same-turn threat with trample. The cost is that it does nothing without lands already on the battlefield, making it a pure payoff with zero utility if you're mana-starved.

Rubblehulk is a Commander card through and through — the format's higher land counts, longer games, and abundance of landfall synergies are exactly the conditions it needs to be threatening. In Pioneer, Modern, and Legacy it's theoretically legal but practically absent; competitive non-rotating formats have no interest in a six-mana creature that requires a land-heavy board state to close a game when faster and more consistent finishers exist. Oathbreaker can support it in the right land-focused shell, but the 20-life starting total and faster pace shrink the window. Stay in Commander.
