Rolling Spoil destroys a land and a nonland permanent for four mana — Vindicate with land destruction stapled on. Outside of dedicated land destruction strategies, four mana to kill one permanent is too slow for competitive Commander, but in the right shell it pulls double duty that most removal can't match.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Rolling Spoil earns a slot almost exclusively in land destruction or Pox-style attrition decks — Yorion and good-stuff piles have cheaper, more flexible options. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters; four mana at sorcery speed doesn't compete in formats where the game is often decided by turn two. Modern has better analogues at lower cost. Rolling Spoil's real home stays in Commander, where hitting both a Cabal Coffers and a combo piece in one card can be a two-for-one that swings a game.

Price Context
Current price
$0.20 bulk tier
At $0.20, Rolling Spoil is firmly bulk — easy to pick up as a throw-in or from a commons box. That price is stable; there's no spike pressure on a narrow sorcery with no casual demand spike on the horizon.
