Rockslide Elemental enters as a 1/1 and grows a +1/+1 counter each time another creature dies, making it a legitimate late-game threat in sacrifice-heavy shells where the counter accumulation is fast and free. The floor is miserable in any fair game, but the ceiling in a dedicated aristocrats build is a finisher that scales with your own engine.

Rockslide Elemental is a Commander card through and through — the format's high creature counts, sacrifice synergies, and longer games give it room to snowball into a real threat. In Legacy, Modern, or Vintage it competes against interaction so efficient that a three-mana 1/1 with a delayed payoff never gets off the ground, and no competitive deck there wants it.
