Revelsong Horn puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control at the start of combat — on a board of six creatures, that's six counters for two mana of activation. The setup cost is real, but in any deck that goes wide and cares about counters, it pulls its weight every combat step.

In Commander, Revelsong Horn lives in wide-board decks that either care about +1/+1 counters mechanically or just want to convert board presence into a clock — two mana per combat to grow an entire army is a meaningful rate once you're past four or five creatures. Legacy and Vintage have the raw power to go wide enough to exploit it, but those formats close games before a three-mana artifact with a two-mana activation ever recouped its investment. Modern is similar — the card is legal but the pacing is wrong. Revelsong Horn is a Commander card through and through, where games go long enough for repeated activations to matter and synergy-based value accrues naturally.

$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Revelsong Horn is bulk — pick it up in any collection or grab a copy from a dollar bin without a second thought. Bulk rares at this price floor rarely appreciate unless they hit a breakout deck, and Horn's niche role keeps that ceiling low.
