Resurrected Cultist is a 2/3 for two mana with deathtouch — a clean rate that trades up with almost anything it blocks. The cost is that it does nothing else; no enters-the-battlefield trigger, no graveyard payoff, just a body that demands an answer.

In Commander, Resurrected Cultist competes in a slot packed with two-drop creatures that do more — Strangleroot Geist has persist, Grim Flayer filters, and Devoted Druid enables combos. Resurrected Cultist offers pure board presence, which matters most in aggressive black-green decks that need early blockers to survive long enough to threaten. In Pauper, a 2/3 deathtouch for two is legitimately taxing in a format where creatures trade freely and tempo is real. Constructed formats above Pauper largely ignore it — Pioneer and Modern have too many efficient threats that render a vanilla deathtouch creature obsolete by turn three.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Resurrected Cultist is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and nothing else. That price won't move; there's no competitive demand and no Commander breakout waiting for a 2/3 deathtouch with no text box.
