Restore the Peace bounces all creatures that attacked or blocked this turn back to their owners' hands — a combat reset that doubles as a tempo swing and a pseudo-board wipe against aggro. At one white mana, the cost-to-effect ratio is absurd, and it's the kind of trick that ends combat phases before they end you.

Restore the Peace is most at home in Commander, where one-sided combat can spiral into lethal damage and a single instant at the right moment defuses it entirely — saving your life total while stranding the opponent's threats back in hand. In Legacy and Vintage it's too narrow; those formats close out games before combat tricks accumulate value, and you'd rather have interaction that answers threats permanently. Modern and Pioneer are similarly unfriendly: efficient, redundant threats mean bouncing attackers just delays the problem by a turn. Commander is where Restore the Peace earns its slot, particularly in blue-white decks that want to survive long enough to establish control or execute a combo.

Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Restore the Peace is deep bulk — you're paying shipping costs more than card costs. Bulk instants at this price point don't appreciate, but that's irrelevant; you run it because it's functionally free and overperforms for its mana investment.
