Redeem returns two target cards from your graveyard to the top of your library — modest recursion at instant speed for a single white mana. It sees almost no competitive play because it doesn't generate card advantage, it delays it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Redeem is outclassed by nearly every recursion spell in white — Sun Titan, Sevinne's Reclamation, and Eternal Witness all do more for the same or less mana. In Legacy and Vintage, the format speed makes topdeck manipulation this slow a non-starter. Pauper is the one context where budget constraints could make Redeem worth a second look in a white control shell that needs cheap, flexible library reordering. For Oathbreaker, the same Commander calculus applies: the card simply doesn't generate enough immediate board impact to justify the slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Redeem is deep bulk — you'll find it in a common box before you'll find it on a buylist. That price reflects demand accurately; don't expect it to move.
