Reality Anchor permanently prevents one creature from leaving the battlefield — no blinking, no bouncing, no sacrifice-to-hand tricks — for three mana at instant speed. It's a surgical answer to flicker and bounce abuse, and narrow enough that you only run it when your meta demands it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Reality Anchor fills a specific slot: hate for Brago, King Eternal, Felidar Guardian loops, and Erratic Portal nonsense that other removal doesn't cleanly answer. Legacy and Vintage both have faster, more flexible interaction, so Reality Anchor won't find a home in those 60-card formats. Pauper is where it has the most realistic competitive upside, as common-legal flicker tools are real threats there and three mana at instant speed is a reasonable price. Outside of those narrow use cases, most decks want removal that answers the problem permanently rather than anchoring it in place.

At $0.12, Reality Anchor is deep bulk — grab a copy from any commons box without thinking about it. Bulk commons don't appreciate, but this one costs nothing to slot in when your meta calls for it.
