Raven Guild Initiate turns any creature into a 3/2 Serpent with the ability to force an opponent to exile the top ten cards of their library on each attack — a meaningful mill threat stapled to a body that replaces itself. The cost is real: you need both a creature to enchant and attack steps to matter, so it does nothing the turn it lands and folds to removal before it ever connects.

In Commander, Raven Guild Initiate fits dedicated mill strategies where attacking repeatedly is already part of the plan — the ten-card exile per attack compounds fast in a 100-card format, and a single unblocked swing can strip a key combo piece before an opponent draws it. Outside of that narrow archetype it competes with faster, more resilient mill payoffs and rarely makes the cut. In Pauper it's legal but too slow and too conditional to see play in a format that punishes do-nothing enchantments. Legacy and Vintage offer the legal environment but zero incentive — powered formats end games before Raven Guild Initiate's incremental exile matters.
