Rashmi, Eternities Crafter card art
Rashmi, Eternities Crafter turns every spell you cast on your first main phase into a free look at the top of your library — if the mana cost works out, you cast that card for nothing. At four mana for a 2/3, you're paying a fair rate for an engine that snowballs hard in any deck that spaces its spells across multiple turns, and Kellan, the Kid decks include her at over 66% for exactly that reason.

Best Commanders

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Kellan, the Kid

Kellan, the Kid

66.2% of decks · synergy 0.64

Kellan, the Kid triggers on casting noncreature spells, and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter chains free spells off those same triggers — every Kellan activation becomes a potential two-for-one that feeds the next one.

02
Averna, the Chaos Bloom

Averna, the Chaos Bloom

39.6% of decks · synergy 0.35

Averna, the Chaos Bloom puts lands into play off cascade triggers, and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter adds a second free spell on top of every cascade — the two together generate board presence and card advantage simultaneously off a single cast.

03
Rashmi and Ragavan

Rashmi and Ragavan

38.8% of decks · synergy 0.35

Rashmi and Ragavan generates Treasure and digs the top of the library constantly, and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter converts those top-of-deck peeks into free spells, turning the commander's inherent card filtering into a full-on storm engine.

04
Kalamax, the Stormsire

Kalamax, the Stormsire

38.4% of decks · synergy 0.34

Kalamax, the Stormsire copies the first instant each turn, and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter fires on the first spell each turn — running both means your opening instant potentially draws a free spell before Kalamax even gets his copy trigger, stacking value before combat.

05
Quandrix, the Proof

Quandrix, the Proof

Quandrix, the Proof rewards you for casting spells with high mana values, and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter cascades into those same expensive spells for free, letting you hit the mana-value thresholds Quandrix, the Proof cares about without spending the resources.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

FormatVerdict
commander
legacy
modern
pioneer
standard
vintage
pauper
oathbreaker

Commander is where Rashmi, Eternities Crafter is built to live — 100-card decks full of high-impact spells give her trigger the most variance to generate free value, and a four-mana legendary creature is easy to build around as either a commander or a value piece in the 99. In Legacy and Vintage she's legal but effectively absent; those formats play too fast and too efficiently for a four-mana do-nothing-the-turn-she-arrives to compete. Pioneer and Modern are the same story — fair midrange isn't where Rashmi, Eternities Crafter wants to be, and there are cheaper engines that do comparable work without the setup cost. Oathbreaker is a reasonable home if you pair her with a low-cost signature spell that chains well, though the 20-life starting total makes her slower setup more punishing.
