Rampaging Soulrager enters as a massive threat — its power scales with the number of creature cards in your graveyard, routinely landing as a 10/6 or larger for five mana in any deck that feeds the bin. The catch is that it's just a vanilla beater: no evasion, no ETB, nothing to protect it.

In Commander, Rampaging Soulrager belongs in graveyard-centric decks where filling the bin is the game plan anyway — reanimator, self-mill, and aristocrats builds can deploy it as a free-roll finisher that grows enormous without any extra investment. Outside Commander, it's largely irrelevant: competitive Constructed formats move too fast for a 5-mana vanilla, and even in Pioneer and Modern the graveyard payoffs with actual abilities — recursive threats, ETB value, combo pieces — crowd it out entirely. Pauper is the one exception worth a second look, where card quality is compressed enough that a sufficiently large trampler or evasion-adjacent body could threaten, but Rampaging Soulrager has neither, so it still falls short.

Price Context
Current price
$0.02 bulk tier
At $0.02, Rampaging Soulrager is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a bulk bin rather than buy deliberately. There's no meaningful demand driver that would push this off the floor, so treat it as a free inclusion if you own one, not a purchase.
