Ram Through deals damage equal to your creature's power to any target — and if that creature has trample, the excess carries over, letting a single combat trick punch through a blocker and still dome a player. At two mana, it's one of the most efficient fight-adjacent spells in green, and Sergeant John Benton decks run it at a 60% clip for good reason.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Sergeant John Benton
Sergeant John Benton has trample built in, so Ram Through becomes a two-mana spell that removes a blocker and redirects leftover damage directly to an opponent — exactly the kind of reach a voltron deck needs to close games.

Thrun, Breaker of Silence
Thrun, Breaker of Silence is hexproof and nearly impossible to answer, which means Ram Through can target Thrun freely with no fear of a blowout; you point a massive indestructible threat at whatever is in your way and the damage still hits.

Wolverine, Best There Is
Wolverine, Best There Is wants to stack damage counters and trigger off injury, and Ram Through feeds that loop cheaply — force a block, deal damage, trigger Wolverine's own abilities off the wound.

The Howling Abomination
The Howling Abomination rewards going wide with large creatures, and Ram Through converts any oversized attacker into a removal spell that also threatens to connect with a face for lethal.

Legolas, Master Archer
Legolas, Master Archer pings creatures to set up kills, and Ram Through finishes whatever Legolas has already weakened — the two work in sequence to clear the board without ever attacking into it.

In Commander, Ram Through earns its slot in any green deck running a big creature — two mana to remove a blocker and deal real damage is a clean rate, and the trample clause turns it into a reach spell in voltron and stompy builds. In Pauper, it's a legitimate combat trick at common that trades up in power in creature-heavy metas. Modern and Pioneer have access to faster, more flexible removal, so Ram Through doesn't see serious play there — it's too conditional when your opponent can simply not have a creature in the way. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters for obvious reasons. The card's home is clearly Commander and Pauper, where cheap situational spells that double as damage sources carry more weight.

Current price
$0.49 bulk tier
At $0.49, Ram Through is firmly bulk — easy to acquire and unlikely to spike given its wide printing. It holds that floor comfortably as a staple in green creature decks, but don't expect upward movement.
