Rally to Battle taps all creatures target player controls and gives your creatures +0/+3 until end of turn — a combat trick that doubles as a pseudo-fog against one opponent. Three mana at instant speed is a real cost, but the swing-state shift it creates in a Commander combat is significant enough to run in go-wide white decks.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Rally to Battle is a Commander card through and through — the asymmetric tapping effect is irrelevant in one-on-one formats where your opponent rarely has enough creatures to make it matter, and competitive Legacy and Modern lists have no interest in a three-mana do-nothing on offense. In Commander, it earns its slot in token and wide-board strategies by stopping the most threatening attacker at the table while simultaneously padding your board's toughness to survive a counterattack. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander at smaller scale, and it's technically legal in Vintage and Pioneer, but those formats won't touch it.

$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Rally to Battle is pure bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box or a trade binder, not tracking it down. Bulk white instants with narrow use cases don't climb in price, so don't expect it to.
