Rakshasa Deathdealer is a two-mana 2/2 that can pump itself to alpha-strike size or regenerate through removal — both on demand, both for just two mana. The catch is you need black and green mana every time, so it punishes greedy mana bases hard.

In Commander, Rakshasa Deathdealer is a fine early drop in Golgari and Sultai builds that want cheap, resilient threats, but it rarely earns a slot over creatures with more immediate board impact. In Pioneer and Modern, the two-drop slot is brutally competitive, and a vanilla 2/2 that requires open mana to do anything relevant gets outclassed by threats that generate value without activation setup. Legacy has better options at every point on the curve. Rakshasa Deathdealer finds its best home in focused two-color Golgari midrange shells where the regeneration actually buys meaningful tempo, but even there it's a role-player, not a cornerstone.
