Artifact — Vehicle
Whenever this Vehicle attacks, look at the top card of your library. If it's a land card, you may put it onto the battlefield tapped.

Raiders' Karve draws you a card every time a Vehicle you control attacks — a repeatable, low-friction advantage engine stapled to a 3/4 body for three mana. It's not a staple in every blue-white list, but in Kotori, Pilot Prodigy it's essentially a free draw trigger on a crewed attacker.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Kotori, Pilot Prodigy
Kotori, Pilot Prodigy crews Raiders' Karve for free at the start of combat, meaning the draw trigger fires every turn without any additional investment — that's as clean an engine as this card gets.

Edward Kenway
Edward Kenway wants as many attacking Vehicles as possible, and Raiders' Karve converts every swing into a card, stacking draw advantage on top of whatever Kenway is generating elsewhere.

Kolodin, Triumph Caster
Kolodin, Triumph Caster cares about artifact creatures attacking, and Raiders' Karve slots in as a Vehicle that pays you back in cards each combat, keeping the hand full while advancing the battlefield plan.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Raiders' Karve is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Pauper, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but its home is Commander — repeatable card draw on a recursive permanent is far more valuable across long games than in one-on-one formats where it's simply too slow and low-impact. In Pauper it's theoretically playable as a common, but dedicated Vehicle support is thin enough there that it rarely shows up. Elsewhere in constructed, a 3/4 that requires crewing and only draws on attack doesn't clear the competitive bar when faster, unconditional alternatives exist.

Price Context

$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Raiders' Karve is deep bulk — pick it up without thinking twice. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price point don't move much unless a new commander breaks the archetype wide open, so don't expect appreciation, but the cost of entry is essentially zero.
