Raging Redcap is a two-mana 2/1 with wither that deals 2 damage to any target when it enters or dies — repeatable ping damage on a body that shrinks blockers permanently. The cost is its fragility: a 2/1 dies to a stiff breeze, and outside of blink or sacrifice loops, you're getting two triggers at best.

In Commander, Raging Redcap earns its slot only in dedicated blink or aristocrats shells where the enter-the-battlefield and death triggers fire repeatedly — otherwise a 2/1 with two total pings across its life doesn't move the needle in a 40-life format. Pauper is where Raging Redcap has the most legitimate standing: the wither clause is relevant against smaller bodies, and the ping damage is proportionally more meaningful at common power levels. In Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage it's outclassed entirely — formats with efficient two-drops set a bar this card doesn't clear. Standard is the same story: legal, but no competitive application unless an aggressive wither synergy appears in the format.
