Racers' Ring card art
Racers' Ring taps for colorless and can grant a creature haste once per turn cycle — but paying one mana and tapping a land to do it is a steep rate when dedicated haste enablers cost half that and don't eat a land drop. It earns a slot only in decks where haste is a repeated, high-value trigger, not a nice-to-have.

In Commander, Racers' Ring occupies the bottom tier of haste lands — playable in decks that desperately want redundancy on haste (think Krenko, Mob Boss or Aurelia, the Warleader), but almost always the last one in and first one cut. Competitive formats like Legacy and Vintage ignore it entirely; the rate is too slow and the colorless production too minor to matter in those contexts. Pauper is the one format where budget constraints make it a legitimate option, since the pool of cheap haste enablers at common is thin. Pioneer and Modern have better alternatives at every price point, so Racers' Ring rarely sees play there.

Price Context

Current price

$0.11 bulk tier

At $0.11, Racers' Ring is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a common box rather than buy. Price stability is a non-issue at this tier; it will stay near zero unless a future Commander precon creates sudden demand for haste lands.
