Pyromantic Pilgrim enters as a 3/2 and immediately copies the next instant or sorcery you cast that turn — front-loaded value stapled to a relevant body. Three mana for that effect is fair, and in any spell-heavy red deck it earns its slot without needing setup.

In Commander, Pyromantic Pilgrim slots cleanly into spellslinger builds — anything helmed by a commander that rewards casting or copying instants and sorceries gets immediate mileage from the enters trigger. In Pauper, the combination of a 3/2 body and a free copy at common is legitimately powerful in Boros or Izzet tempo shells where every mana has to do double duty. Modern and Pioneer have enough efficient threats that a three-mana 3/2 needs the copy to pull weight, which it does in dedicated spell-matters lists. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for Pyromantic Pilgrim to matter competitively, but it's legal if you want it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Pyromantic Pilgrim is deep bulk — you're paying essentially nothing for a card that does real work in the right shell. Bulk rares and commons at this price tier don't appreciate, but that's irrelevant when the ask is so low you should just pick up copies freely.
