Pus Kami destroys a target creature and costs you a Spirit or Arcane card from your hand to do it — unconditional removal stapled to a real cost. At six mana for a 3/3 body with a pay-off that demands specific card types in hand, the rate is too slow and too narrow for most decks.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Pus Kami is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it sees virtually no play in any of them. In competitive formats like Legacy and Vintage, six mana for a 3/3 removal spell is laughably off-rate when Fatal Push and Swords to Plowshares exist. Modern has the same problem — unconditional single-target removal at this cost doesn't compete. Commander is the only format where Pus Kami has any plausible home, and only inside a dedicated Spirit tribal or Soulshift recursion deck where the hand cost is managed and repeated sacrifice loops are the point.

Price Context
Current price
$0.30 bulk tier
At $0.30, Pus Kami is firmly bulk — the price reflects its narrow playability rather than any scarcity. Don't expect that to change; there's no competitive breakout waiting for a six-mana Spirit removal body.
