Pulling Teeth makes an opponent discard a card — and if they can't pay the life, you draw one too. Outside of Marvo, Deep Operative, where it feeds the connive engine directly, it's a serviceable one-mana discard spell that occasionally replaces itself.

In Commander, Pulling Teeth is a role-player in dedicated discard or connive builds — it's not a universal staple, but it over-performs with Marvo, Deep Operative at the helm.
