Pterodon Knight is a 3/2 that grants your attacking Dinosaurs vigilance for a turn — a narrow, one-shot effect stapled to an understatted body for four mana. It's a bulk rare that earns a slot only in the most dedicated Dinosaur tribal builds, and even there it's near the bottom of the list.

Pterodon Knight is strictly a Dinosaur-tribal card, which limits its relevance to Commander above all other formats. In Commander, it finds a home exclusively in Enraged or Dinosaur-wide-attack decks where vigilance on a full board of large creatures matters — think keeping blockers up after a swing — but four mana for a fragile 3/2 with a one-time activated ability is a hard sell when permanent vigilance enablers exist. In Pauper, Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, Pterodon Knight competes against far more efficient creatures and sees essentially no play. It's legal across those formats but practically invisible in them.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Pterodon Knight is deep bulk — you're buying it out of a commons box, not a singles page. There's no meaningful demand driver to push that price, so treat it as a free inclusion if you already own one and a trivial pickup if you don't.
