Prized Statue is a three-mana artifact that taps for one colorless and replaces itself with a Treasure on sacrifice — unremarkable in isolation, but that self-replacing body is exactly what sacrifice and cost-reduction engines want. In Chrome Dome piles and the Dargo, the Shipwrecker // Tymna the Weaver Treasure-centric builds, it does real work: it feeds Dargo's cost reduction, generates a free mana, and draws a card when you're done with it.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Dargo, the Shipwrecker // Tymna the Weaver
Dargo, the Shipwrecker // Tymna the Weaver is the natural home — Prized Statue is a cheap artifact body that produces a Treasure on sacrifice, directly reducing Dargo's commander tax while replacing itself with a mana source for the next cast.

Ragost, Deft Gastronaut
Ragost, Deft Gastronaut wants a steady stream of cheap, expendable artifacts, and Prized Statue delivers: it enters, taps, sacrifices into a Treasure, and keeps the artifact count climbing for Ragost's triggers.

Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter
Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter converts artifacts into more artifacts, so Prized Statue's Treasure-on-sacrifice is raw fuel — sacrifice it to Jan Jansen to mint a Treasure token, then convert that into even more pieces.

Oswald Fiddlebender
Oswald Fiddlebender sacrifices artifacts to tutor up the next link in the chain, and Prized Statue is an ideal stepping stone: a three-mana artifact that replaces itself means you lose almost nothing using it as Oswald's fodder.

Braids, Arisen Nightmare
Braids, Arisen Nightmare rewards feeding opponents a steady diet of permanents and punishes them when they don't comply — Prized Statue is a throwaway sacrifice target that turns into a Treasure, letting you pay the Braids tax without giving up anything you actually wanted.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Prized Statue is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but the card does meaningful work in exactly one of those: Commander. In Pauper it's theoretically castable but too slow and too low-impact for a format where tempo and card efficiency are at a premium. Legacy and Vintage have access to every artifact ever printed, and a vanilla three-drop with a conditional Treasure trigger doesn't make the cut in either. Commander is where the self-replacing artifact payoff finds its audience — go-wide artifact and sacrifice strategies at the 100-card singleton table are where Prized Statue earns its slot.

Current price
$0.32 bulk tier
At $0.32, Prized Statue is firmly bulk, and that price reflects its narrow demand: it moves in multiples only in artifact-heavy Commander builds, not across formats. Don't expect the price to move — it's a one-of in a format that already has abundant sacrifice fodder, and supply is deep.
