Prison Barricade is a two-mana 0/4 that gives each other Wall you control +0/+1 — cheap defensive bulk that scales slightly in a dedicated Wall tribal shell. Outside of that niche, it's a vanilla speed bump with no offensive ceiling and no reason to run it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Prison Barricade belongs exclusively to Wall tribal decks, where stacking toughness buffs can feed a Doran, the Siege Tower or Arcades, the Strategist gameplan — everywhere else it's just a 0/4 that does nothing on offense. In Pauper, the common format theoretically allows it, but it doesn't slot into any established defensive shell that needs this particular effect. Legacy and Vintage are legal but irrelevant; Prison Barricade has no competitive function at those power levels.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Prison Barricade sits at the floor of bulk pricing — you're not paying for power, you're paying for cardboard. It will not hold or gain value, but in a Wall tribal Commander deck it costs essentially nothing to test.
