Potion of Healing costs one mana, gains you 3 life, and replaces itself — the draw is the only reason it's worth discussing at all. Even so, a one-shot lifegain cantrip is too low-impact for the vast majority of Commander lists; it belongs in dedicated lifegain-matters decks or nowhere.

In Commander, Potion of Healing earns a slot only when the life total is a resource you're actively converting — Oloro, Ageless Ascetic and Bola Jurist-style lifegain payoff commanders are the real home. In Pauper it's a fringe inclusion in life-based combo shells but rarely sees competitive play. Across Legacy, Vintage, and Modern it's strictly unplayable; the card selection is real but the effect is too small to matter at those speeds. Pioneer follows the same logic — there are simply better cantrips at every rate.

Price Context
Current price
$0.26 bulk tier
At $0.26, Potion of Healing is deep bulk — you're not buying it for value, you're buying it because it fills a slot in a thematic deck for pocket change. Bulk commons rarely move in price, so there's nothing to track here beyond 'grab a copy if the lifegain synergy is live.'
