Commander is where Poet's Quill earns its keep: graveyard-matters commanders and spellslinger builds both want the incidental lesson triggers and the lifelink counter on whatever creature you equip. In Pioneer and Modern it's too slow and too narrow — dedicated graveyard and artifact synergy decks have better tools at the same cost. Legacy and Vintage ignore it entirely. Oathbreaker is a reasonable home if your planeswalker cares about instants or sorceries piling up in the graveyard, but even there it's fringe.
