Pilgrim of Justice is a narrow protection piece — it reduces damage from a chosen color to you and your creatures, but a 1/4 body with a conditional shield rarely justifies a slot when unconditional protection exists. Run it only if your meta is dominated by a single aggressive color and you have nothing better.

In Commander, Pilgrim of Justice is too situational for the 99 — protection from one color leaves you exposed to the other three, and most tables run enough multicolor threats to make the effect feel incidental. Pauper is the most viable home, where the card pool is shallow enough that a 1/4 with any damage reduction can stabilize a board against aggressive mono-color decks. Legacy and Vintage have both formats legal, but Pilgrim of Justice never appears there — the card is simply outclassed at every axis. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: conditional protection at this cost doesn't make the cut.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Pilgrim of Justice is deep bulk — you'll find it in a commons box before you'd think to order it. There's no demand driver that would push this out of bulk territory, so treat it as a free inclusion if the effect fits, not a purchase.
