Phyrexian Gargantua

Phyrexian Gargantua is a bulk-bin card everywhere but Pauper, where six-mana draw-two bodies are actually playable and the life-loss clause is a meaningful design constraint worth respecting. In Commander it shows up as a budget draw spell in sacrifice and reanimator shells that want something big to loot into the yard, though Phyrexian Gargantua competes with cheaper, more efficient options at every power level above casual. Modern, Legacy, and Vintage simply have no use for a six-mana vanilla threat that nets one card — the formats move too fast. Pauper is the format where Phyrexian Gargantua earns its keep; black is slower there, common card draw is genuinely scarce, and a 4/4 that refills your hand is a real threat at the top of a midrange curve.
