Perimeter Patrol puts a 0/3 Wall token into play for each land you control when it enters — in a land-heavy or landfall deck, that's four to seven blockers on turn four for two mana. The rate is real, but the tokens are pure defense: no evasion, no pressure, just a wall of toughness.

In Commander, Perimeter Patrol earns its slot only in dedicated Wall or Defender strategies — think Arcades, the Strategist, where toughness converts to offense and every 0/3 is a free attacker. Outside that shell, the tokens do nothing but slow opponents down, and Commander games are decided by threats, not speed bumps. In Pauper, where common defensive creatures are genuinely scarce, the token generation offers more relative value, particularly in Walls builds or turbo-fog shells that need cheap bodies. Everywhere else — Modern, Pioneer, Legacy — it's simply outclassed by threats and interaction that end the game before a wall of 0/3s matters.

Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Perimeter Patrol is deep bulk — you're not paying for it so much as finding it in a trade binder. There's no financial upside here; it will stay at this price floor unless a future Commander precon makes Defender tribal mainstream overnight.
