Perfect Intimidation card art
Perfect Intimidation makes all creatures your opponents control lose all abilities and get -4/-0 until end of turn — a sweeping stat reduction that can neuter a board and open a lethal attack in one shot. Four mana is steep for a one-turn effect, but the combination of ability removal and power drain is unique enough to run in the right shell.

In Commander, Perfect Intimidation earns its slot as a combat enabler or a panic button against token swarms and ability-heavy boards — stripping deathtouch, lifelink, and indestructible all at once is genuinely powerful in a format full of Voltron threats and creature-based combos. The problem is that sorcery speed limits the surprise factor; opponents can see it coming and adjust attacks accordingly. In constructed formats like Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy, it's too slow and too narrow — combat tricks need to cost two mana or less to matter at that pace. Standard is where it has the most theoretical relevance if creature-heavy midrange dominates a given meta, but even there four mana is a lot to spend without leaving board state behind. Across formats, Perfect Intimidation is a Commander card first and foremost.

Price Context

Current price

$0.17 bulk tier

At $0.17, Perfect Intimidation is firmly bulk — you're not paying for scarcity, you're paying for cardboard. Bulk rares rarely appreciate unless they land in a breakout deck, and this one's effect is too situational to expect a spike.
